Guide to Teams on Arcane SMP

Playing with friends makes every adventure better! On Arcane SMP, we have a custom Teams system that allows you to officially team up with other players. Being on a team lets you easily chat with your friends, see who's online, and collaborate on big projects.

What are Teams?

A team is an official group of players under one name. It's like creating your own guild or clan. You can have a private chat just for your members and easily manage who is in your group. This is perfect for groups of friends, town residents, or players who just want to work together.

How to Create Your Own Team

Starting a new team is simple. You will be the owner, with full control over your new group.

1. Choose a Name: Think of a great name for your team. Keep it appropriate and follow all server rules.

2. Use the Create Command: To create your team, use the following command:

   • /team create [TeamName]

     • Example: /team create TheBuilders

Congratulations, you are now the owner of your very own team!

Managing Your Team

As a team owner, you have several tools to manage your members.

• Inviting Players: To invite someone to join your team, use:

  • /team invite [PlayerName]

  • The player will receive an invitation that they can either accept or deny.

• Promoting Members: You can give members more permissions by promoting them.

  • /team promote [PlayerName]

  • This can give them the ability to invite other players to the team, helping you manage a larger group.

• Demoting Members: If you need to revoke those extra permissions, use:

  • /team demote [PlayerName]

• Kicking Members: To remove someone from your team, use:

  • /team kick [PlayerName]

• Leaving a Team: If you want to leave your current team, simply type:

  • /team leave

  • Note: If you are the owner, you may need to transfer ownership to another member before you can leave.

Team Features & Commands

Being on a team unlocks several useful features.

Team Chat This is one of the best perks! You can talk privately with your teammates without anyone else seeing your messages.

• To send a single message in team chat:

  • /team chat [Your Message]

    • Example: /team chat Let's go mining at my base!

• To talk only in team chat (Toggle Mode):

  • /team chat (with no message after it)

  • This will switch your chat mode. Now, every message you type will automatically go to your team. To switch back to global chat, just type /team chat again.

Viewing Team Info

• See a list of all teams on the server:

  • /team list

• See detailed information about your own team (or another team):

  • /team info

  • /team info [TeamName]

  • This will show you the team's owner, a list of all members, and who is currently online.
